Hey,

I know this is simple but im just not sure if i am doing it right. Could someone please help me with it?

The question is: 'Determine the amount of oxalic acid (H2C2O4) needed to make 250 ml of 0.1 mol/L.'

I dunno if my method is right, heres what ive done:

n=c x V
=0.1 x 0.25 (do i need to convert this into litres?)
=0.025

m=nxM
= 0.025(2x12.01+2x1.008+4x16)
= 2.2509 (what units is this? grams? I thought it is kilos because i used litres before...but that doesnt make sense...im so confused!!)

Any help woudl be appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah, what you're doing is right. The mass is in grams. Though when it asks 'determine the amount', I'd usually interpret it as 'find the number of mole'.

Thanks so much! I was away when we were doing all this stuff so I was trying to do it myself but i was a bit unsure!

and yeah, it is the amount, because its for a titration :)

Thanks!
