hey guys i have an essay to do for a book does any one no any good techniques i could use

Symbolism, motifs, metaphors etc. There's a whole bunch of them.

The best techniques to remember are those that are easy to use. Such as metaphor, similie, personification, symbolism etc.

Tone, personal language, emotional language are good to use because most texts have these.

our english teacher always says

'that if you dont mention tone than you havent done it right'

so tone is a big one.

language features, how it creates meaning and all that

i dont think you need me to compile a list of every technique under the sun. im sure you will be able to figure that one out...
