I just got an assesment about an instrument and its repertoire, I am doing it on the violin. Could someone please tell me a good site or some good information about the points below...

An instrument and its Repertoire:
Prepare information outlining the features of your instrument/voice and its repertoire. The following areas need to be studied.

1. Type of tone production available. Techniques of how to produce tonal variation (not dynamic variation).
2. Technical developments made on the particular instrument.
3. Pitch range
• Can it play single note melodies only?
• Does it play groups of notes simultaneously?
• Pitch Register
4. Role your instrument has melody only? Accompaniment? Rhythm? Can it perform 2 roles simultaneously?
5. Famous composers/performers for your instrument – How have they extended the repertoire of what your instrument can do?
6. Historical survey of how the instrument has been used:
• Western countries only?
• Confined to orchestras?
• Any Status attached?
• Has it been more popular at any point in history?
7. What style/s can the instrument perform? Why?
8. What personal reason makes this instrument appeal to you, if any?

Thanks, :)
