Hello,

I'm stuck on this basic trigonometry question.

sin theta = 1/5

ok thats it thankyou rivet. is there a more mathematical way to work it out on paper. or is calculator the way to go ?

Yes, the calculator will do the job for you in this situation, because you can't find the exact value of sine inverse of 1/5, as the angle in degrees will be in degrees and minutes. You should be aware of exact values such as sin30, sin45, sin60... etc.

ok thankyou.

at first i was taking getting rid of the denominator by multiplying...whoops.
