I'm going tomorrow, to buy the book and then attempt it, so I'll let you know my progress tomorrow evening...

I think she said something abuot going to the website? The textbook one...its in WebCT but when I click it nothing happens .. both in IE and Firefox, so yeah...someone check up on that?
And I don't really get the footnoting exercise either...are we meant to make up our own article and footnote that, or footnote the actual article that they gave us? The lec said something about making some stuff up..

Anyway, the footnoting thing, I asked the lady - she said to make up the references. ie the book by tom jones isn't actually published, but for the footnoting you say it's published by so-and-so publishers, in a random year, and is 1st edition. Then you do the same for the article he apparaently wrote, and the newspaper thing (which she doesn't tell us how to cite, btw, in the course outline...
)... etc.. make sense?...which one on the website doesn't do anything?

WebCT uses JavaScript, it'd seem, for it's links. Make sure javascript's enabled and that might fix your prob.

Looking at it, those numbers in the unit outline are in fact page numbers for you to do the questions on them.... which means there's about 15 or 16 questions to do... hmm...choco said:

I'm still kinda confused for the footnoting exercise. Do we include the paragraph and put footnotes after it? Or just write the footnotes by themselves?

I put a footnote number thing after every citation, using MS word, and then did the appropriate citation stuff down the bottom... if that makes sense.yenta said:

Also, for the case do we need to footnote it? The Study Guide says put the citation after the case like they've done already, so we don't need to do anything?

...just in case anyone needs/wants it, I'm going to do my best to record the lectures. Unfortunately the recording end up nowhere near as nice as the iLectures, but if anyone wants copies of them, feel free to contact me and we'll work something out...
