help would be much appreciated with this module adminisiter projects
the text book doesnt give u enough info ...im realy confused have no idea

This is the question (case study)

Kylla works in the environmental planning section at Warringa City Council.
The department is preparing to carry out a large-scale feasibility study into the development of a series
of parks in the city's south-east regional corridor.

Kylla's role will be that of administrative coordinator to the project. She will be able to delegate some of her work to her two
assistants Harry & Chantelle.

The parties involved in the project are:

- Warringa City Council
- two neighbouring councils (Meadow Downs and Dalton)
- five schools (Meadow Downs, Dalton, Warringa, East Logan, Burke Street)
- industries (Warringa Motors, Brady's Printing Works, Logan Supermarket)
- environmentals bodies (Earth Care and The Environment Cooperative)


  • Bill Hynes, the project manager
  • Kerry Mallett, Warringa Council's accountant
  • Gerry Wright and Tui Song, two landscape architects from Blueberry Hill
  • Kylla McCrae, the administrative coordinator
The budget is $500,000.
The project is to begin on 10 February and to be completed by 10 August.
The stages identified in the initial plannin session are:


  • Stage 1 - Identify sites of parks, prepare draft concept plans, design park furniture/artwork etc
  • Stage 2 - Public comment invited, submissions collated, documented and evaluated
  • Stage 3 - Public display of final park plan
  • Stage 4 - Evaluation and future action
There will be monthly meetings for the steering committee at which progress reports will be presented



(A) Prepare relevant plans and documentation. You must present as a minimum:


  • a project overview
  • an administrative plan
  • a Gantt chart
  • identification of potential problems, e.g. control point identification chart
  • budget and cash flow projection
  • a project monitoring tool
  • advice to the project managers, e.g. progress report, meeting minutes
  • s brief review of the project
Note: You will need to invent some of the information, e.g. difficult situations that arise, budget allocations etc. You do not have to produce meeting minutes, but you can do a summary of what they might contain.


(B) Describe likely difficulties and how you plan to manage them
