Help with CSE Computers (1 Viewer)

Since there are so many COMP guys here, I was wondering if you could help me.
1) I changed my shell to that of KDE (used the change permanently option). How do I change it back to the default?
2) In the default, how do I add all that fancy crap like animations and a wallpaper?

Oh it's not that I don't like it, it's that I was in Tuba yesterday and was using KDE and typed mozilla& but it gave me this parango (not sure of the spelling) error and like, nothing would run so I kinda panicked.

Is there a script that I can use see the cse users that are curently logged on in one of the cse lab? i see someone's xterm constantly monitors who are logged on...

The command "lab <labname>" will tell you who is in a lab
ie: "lab drum" lists who is in lab
The command "lab -A" will do ALL labs
So "lab -A | grep mrla036" will find what lab I am in

The command you saw is a "friends" list. I can't remember how to create one though ...

It uses the lab -A command in a clever way.

Cool, how do I make my own .friends?

open kwrite or nedit or whatever text editor, type the following into .friends (in your root directory)

name=vlaw430, Vincent
name=mrla036, McLake
name=dkwa322, redslert

then in xterm, type 'friends' and the monitor shows up
