hey guys we were just wondering whether anyone could possibly help us? we need help with how the current law legislations have been improved from previous legislations for Family Violence as well as Child Abuse

In 2001, the AVO system (Apprehended Violence Order) was seperated into two distict areas -

APVO (Personal Violence Order - take it out on anyone)
ADVO (Domestic Violence Order - Family/People u live with - a red alert for police, they must respond)

Um...The crimes Act with an adjustment to the Family Law Act, which abolished the notion of unita caro (man+wife are one body) and made Intermarital rape a crime.
