hey guys,

so im probably going to uni next year and im a permanaent resident in australia, but am a new zealand citizen, so i was wondering am i going to be eligible for hecs/government assistance?

as i understand it, you're eligible for HECS, but not for HELP. in other words, you'll pay the subsidised fee levels (rather than the higher ones which are charged to international students), but you won't be able to defer the payments - you'll have to pay upfront.
