I've been exhausting myself constantly coming up with ideas to engage the audience and able to satisfy my teacher and myself. My idea so far is to use the theme of child-hood and show its transformation into adolescence and adult-hood. To make it more personal I am adding elements of my child-hood mainly dinosaurs which I frenetic when I was young, my medium is drawing and painting (mainly drawing with ink) I am also trying line-o printing. I really just am seeing if the public has any interest in this idea. So far the artwork is showing the dinosaurs in an adult like manner mainly with them fighting and ripping each other to shreds but in a very gory and bloody manner that is normally not shown. My inspirations are artists Peter Booth and H.R Giger

Theme of childhood and transformation into adulthood...

Well, a girl in my year did something along those lines. She constructed a table, and affixed to the sides were childhood toys (I think they symbolised that her childhood - as symbolised by the toys - are the underpinning structure behind her today), and the top was covered by a quilt that she made that had pictures of herself and her family on top - which symbolised who she was today, or something like that.

So pro-tip: Symbolism is good.

Not to disapprove of your idea or anything, obviously its too late to change it, but transition from child-hood to adulthood is pretty cliched and overused, sorry. Still, I believe that if your Art Practice is good enough, and your can take theme in a new way, then you can still get great marks. The main this is that you have confidence in your idea and concept and what you are making and that you are sure to take all advice onboard and into consideration, from teachers and students.
Inserting the use of dinosaurs is a good idea though. Metaphors and symbolism could be extended you show the extinction of childhood or even the extinction of growth at all, into todays world people are maturing your and the distinction is harder to make. You could also use the metaphor of the dinosaurs ripping eachother apart as a symbol for the brutality of the adult world. Anyway, that's just my take. As you said, its a personal work and it should reflect your personal experience but just make sure that, like any good artwork, it captures the audience and has a deeper meaning.
