hey i'm going to be doing a bachelor of Science (majoring in Psychology) in 09 at unsw. the course description says that in my first year i'll be doing "Psych 1A, Psych 1B, 2 science electives and 4 electives.

my questions are : what are the electives?
here's what i think they are --> 2 science electives = i could do biology and chemistry. the 4 electives = i could do philosophy, sociology, history and criminology?

if that is so then are these course offered at unsw ?

Secondly what is "General Education?" it's offered in years 2 and 3.

thanks guys help would be MUCH appreciated :D :headbang:

The handbook will answer everything you need to know about your degree:
UNSW Handbook Program - Science - 3970

Flexible degrees like the science ones with majors/minors need a little bit of planning to make sure you satisfy the requirements to get your degree.

Re gen eds, see the sticky in the UNSW forum.

Philosophy of science as far as i vaguely know involves studying why we use the scientific method and not other means for determining facts. This is all I know from doing a course on philosophy last semester.
