These are questions from the 2002 hsc paper...
It says :"critically analyse the impact of global trends in employment relations on business role and structure." - what are these global trends????

Also: "critically analyse the political, social/cultural and management issues that arise with a global workforce."
So political : like restriction of foreign competitors and stuff like that rite?? how does that relate to global workforce or am i just totally lost..
I kno the social/cultural and management aspects... will vaguely..

I hate ER ....... for the extended response bit anywayz..

1. consider:
the organisational structure
global staffing
shortage of skilled labour
labour law variations
minimum standards of labour
type of staffing system, ie ethno, poly, or geo?

2. for political, talk about variations in laws in different countries and how global businesses need to act ethically in the country that they are operating in...also, analyse differing minimum standards of labour, working conditions, wages and what is considered ethical or not (eg what are different country's views on child labour?)
