This question i know wat to do until i derive tanx... anyway here goes

Find the equation of the tangent to the curve y=tanx at the point where x=3pi/4

i just dont kno how to solve y'=sec^2(3pi/4) to find the gradient

dy/dx=sec<sup>2</sup> 3&pi;/4
=1/cos<sup>2</sup> 3&pi;/4
=1/(-1/&radic; 2)<sup>2</sup>
=2

Put it into your calculator, it equals 2 :)
