SRS is an early offer scheme available at most universities. In many cases, applicants can have their year 11 results considered, potentially allowing them to receive an early offer based on their year 11 results as opposed to through the standard ATAR pathway. However, year 11 results are not the only criteria, as schools also provide the institution(s) where applicants apply for a degree under SRS with non-academic information, specifically a rating of students' aptitudes. In other words, this would be in the form of a recommendation from a school emphasising the strengths of one of their students who applied for a degree under SRS. If applicable, other criteria include a student's EAS application.

Subsequently, institutions will make offers based on:
  • SRS criteria alone
  • SRS criteria and ATAR/selection rank
  • SRS criteria, ATAR/selection rank and equity criteria.
Offers can be either unconditional from the start, or conditional. If conditional, the student would have to meet further criteria to convert their conditional offer to an unconditional offer. For example, an SRS offer that you receive from WSU will be unconditional, whereas an SRS offer that you receive from UTS is conditional until you meet further criteria (such as achieving a specified minimum ATAR). Of course, SRS is not available for all degrees. Specific ineligible degrees would depend on the specific university/institution.

You can find the list of institution-specific SRS criteria through the following link:

I hope this helps! 😄
