At my school 2/3 of yr12 do 4u maths. But atm my maths isnt going so well because i havent been working that much, if at all. I know i can do well, but im not sure if i should take 4u or just stick with 3u. I've heard that 4u requires a lot of time, and it would take a lot of time away from my other subjects. I do physics, chemistry, adv english, software design, and 3u maths. This is only 11 units so i dont have much leway in terms of screwing up. I just want to know if i should stick with 3u or take up 4u? And if a high 99's UAI is achievable without 4u?

100 is achievable without 4 unit

The problem is that without doing 4 unit maths or english or another really highly scaling subject such as a language extension, the chances of getting 100 is less likely BUT still possible.

Definately Dude. By the looks of your subjects you do the "Asian Special", so they don't scale that badly anyway. 4U though, if you can hack the pressure, is brilliant for scaling, being 2 Units and all, not one.

btw, I don't do maths at all, and I have a shot at 99+ heh.

But you are just in yr 11, you have time!
you can always drop 4 unit if you want!

Nah i dont go to ruse. Hmm i played around with sam and it looks like i need to achieve around 92/93 for everything to get over the 99 barrier, and i really need/want (im not sure which ) to get 99.5+. I soooo dont know whether to pick it or not. Like i want to do med, but im not sure whether i should play 2nd grade sport and do fair bit of charity work or to work harder by doing 4u and getting higher uai, that is if i do well in it.

lol, i do need to improve. However i just looked at SAM and even getting 75 in 4u will boost my uai significantly. Still thinking though.
