Got a pop-up blocker?
Scan regularly for spyware?
Scan regularly for viruses/trojans and have a decent firewall enabled at all times whilst on the internet?

Hence why I asked if you scan for spyware, viruses and trojans. Since you said no, I'm obviously not surprised.

Yes. Do the things I asked about above, obviously.

I.e scan for spyware, viruses and trojans. I presume you do have a decent anti-virus atleast, use it to scan your system. Download Spybot & Adaware 6.0 for spyware. And don't go on the internet with a good firewall.

do all these popups have the same headline? {ie. like the bit at the top of this page "bored of studies - hijackthis log HELP ME!(but it never changes)}
i think it was something like "only the best"

i had something like this. its a virus.
if the popups have the same headline but diff adverts, browse the headline on google and you should find some answers.

if you still dont understand, take a screenshot for me. im rusty with this virus.

oh and right click ad > properties and give me the address the ad comes from please. i should be able to find some help for you from there.

on another note, ive only gotten one virus since i got this pc last year, if you download from the internet, make sure you would trust what your downloading, and ALWAYS CUSTOM INSTALL!!!!!! especially with programs like p2p, if you can, they always say "spyware free" but the spyware is an option on installation.
also google&yahoo toolbars contain crap from memory, they are always tagged along in most downloads as an optional download (which is usually ticked so that people who dont read what they are installing dont realise it)

NEVER NEVER NEVER let untrusted sites install stuff on your pc, stuff like xango is spyware. on many MP3/media websites they always have the "install our software to download our music!" this is 100% always just xango etc spyware

As long as this:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MyVBApp] C:\Setup.exe

Is a program you made, then your log is clean. If not, remove that.

Scan for viruses, trojans and more spyware using Spybot: Search & Destroy (google for the download).

Again, I hope you have a decent firewall at all times whilst on the internet, otherwise you're just asking for it.

I still think that's the problem, it's running in the background. Try disabling it for now and seeing if that stops the problem.

To disable:

` tick in hijackthis
` close folders/browsers
` fix checked
` reboot
` post new log

may be a memory startup problem, i had something like this, it would just popup in memory after i edited it out of it. you actually need to go to the source and delete the whole virus

ok boys and girls yes its possible to delete the virus but thats a annoying job since you probably have soo many files and its time consuming waiting for the thing to clear and when its all clear ur comp isnt that perfect its like a disease spreading thru ur body and you cut of the limbs to stop it after that you survive but ur limbs are long gone same for computer but it has a bonus you can restart and refresh the whole thing over again and save your previous unaffected important files. so reformat if you have too many files its worth the effort either start afresh with antivirus or continue with a damaged slow computer thou the virus is gone!

Although studynoob makes his points in a less than eloquent manner due to his sparing use of punctuation, he has a valid point. I don't know if threadstarter has been using a firewall the whole time.. but so far it appears that he doesn't. Combined with the suggestion that he rarely scans his computer for viruses or spyware.. personally I'd play it safe and just do a fresh format of the hard disk (after backing up important files).
