wait im having a stroke i subbed sectheta as square root of 1 + tan^2(theta) now im like lost again

you have to multiply the top and the bottom by tan (theta)+ sec(theta)

I believe the integral of secx was provided on the formula sheet in the old syllabus, so you may not be required to know it for the x1 new syllabus
