i cant wait for this game to be released. part 2 was great and now this improved version should be better!!December 16, 2003 - You might have seen the teaser in the Deus Ex: Invisible War box, but today, Eidos officially announced Hitman: Contracts:
The game is the third instalment in the critically acclaimed, multi-million selling Hitman series. Hitman: Contracts is being developed by Io Interactive and will be available for PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC in spring 2004.
Eidos' press release thankfully promises a return to the gameplay of the original game:
Hitman: Contracts delivers more action-packed and suspense-filled missions, with a greater variety of ways to make the perfect kill and an increased arsenal of firearms and close-combat weapons. A new graphics engine showcases your 'work' in brutal detail and brings the new locations to life. An improved control system and more gradual learning curve will ensure that the game is accessible to all aspiring hitmen.
You'll begin, as usual, as Agent 47, "the most ruthlessly efficient contract killer in history." Beginning in Paris, the game sees 47 in a vunerable situation, and promises to be, "the most disturbing episode in the series." Whether the game nears the levels of brutality seen in Manhunt is not yet known, but Janos Fl?sser, managing director of Io Interactive, had this to say:
"Hitman Contracts will reveal a new side to Hitman. The game will be epic, highly disturbing, but most importantly an enjoyable experience. The technology we are employing will make it one of the most advanced games on the market."
The official site has also been launched, and when there, you can download the first trailer, as well as sign up to mucho spam - in the form of a newsletter - regarding the game.
