Hi there. I have looked through the year 11 preliminary syllabus and read through each dot point. When I started reading my Conquering Chemistry textbook, the first chapter was 'The Chemical Earth', which according to the syllabus is in correct order. Then came notes on homogenous (uniform composition) and heterogenous (non-uniform composition) in my conquering chemistry textbook. I tried looking through the dotpoints for both homogenous and heterogenous, but couldn't find anything written about them in the dotpoint.
Do I first go through each dot point in the chemistry syllabus, and answer each dotpoint within the textbook and begin learning/memorising? Or do I just continue on with the Conquering Chemistry textbook and do the exercises? And for current chemistry students, did homogenous or heterogenous pop up in your 'The Chemical Earth' topic test? I'm a bit worried coz they're might be other things in the textbook which aren't necessary to learn, because it isn't in the syllabus.
Thanks.
