hotmail queries (1 Viewer)

queries about the address book:

1. recently it decided to add all my msn contacts to my address book as well. does it have to? can i get rid of the ones i don't want im my address book?

2. the most annoying, recently when i have been adding people i add a quickname, first and last name as usual. when going to the address book it used to ignore the quickname and arrange by order of first name. now it arranges by order of last name, only for the new contacts. anyone have any idea how to make them all arrange in order of first name?

very annoying and slow to organise hotmail address book...

Which is why i use fastmail.fm now, only kept hotmail for MSN.

i can't work out how to. if i delete them i think they get deleted from msn as well or something.

hmmmmm okay i get what you mean now.
that's exactly wat happened.
it said .."blah blah deleting these contacts would also mean deleting it off msn".


i think putting them on favourite will solve the problem..

hmmm... that never happend to me...

mabye they changed hotmail after I stoped using it.

this is the new one, where once you add ppl to msn they get auto added into your contact list as well.

Not sure about ordering by first name, but if you go to your contacts page and click the 'Name' link category heading near the top of the whole list, it puts it in alphabetical order.
