well basicalli think abt ur marketing strategi....... if ur switched to a comeptition based pricing method..then are u getting n increase in sales volume? even betta..or u selling more than ur competition>
if ur using loss leader strategi.....r u losing money due to the promotion? or have u made enough sales to break even> or gain a profit?.........
evaluating techniques comes hand in hand wih the strategi implemented........having said that gaining market share and increasing profit are awlays the goals......but sometimes diff strategies are implemented to achieve a specific goal....so with loss leader...u cant evaluate it in terms of profit in the SHORTrun.....loss leader is implemented with the aim of achieving increading sales and profit in the LONG run..
