How do you tell what mark you got out of 100, when it's reported out of 50? (1 Viewer)

This year I'm doing Ext 1 (accelerated), but I'm starting Ext 2 now. At the end of the year, my Ext 1 mark will be reported out of 50 as a whole number, so 46.5 (93) will be reported as 47. Is there anyway to tell what mark out of 100 you actually got? E.g. If you're mark is reported as "47", you could've got anywhere from 93 to 94.9, which is quite a difference. Coz otherwise I'm not going to know whether I should repeat the course or not.

Short of requesting the exact mark from the Board, you can't know.

That's pretty poor, coz I might get a reported mark of 46 (which is my max. repeat mark), but I might actually have gotten close to 93, in which case I wouldn't repeat.

What, it costs $30 to ask. That sounds like a rip off

The $30 fee covers the entire FOI application - you can request as much or as little as you want.

The fee isn't set by the Board, it's enshrined in the legislation. Covers administrative costs and so on.

Is there a set date as to when such FOI appeals maybe lodged. Ie. How long would one have to wait after 18 December?

Provided that the marks have been determined, you can lodge the request whenever you want. :)
