I know that ranks between my classmates affect moderated school assessment marks.

But does it affect UAI (which.. I think... is based purely on raw HSC exam marks)?

And what is rank? Is it correct to say that rank is the rank between everyone doing that subject in my school (not just my class)?

And.. although I'm not doing this, what will be the rank of people who do private tuition or group tuition (for certain subjects) outside the school?

no....

the HSC mark is an average of the assessment mark (based on ranks + etc.. etc...) and exam mark(based on raw mark + etc.. etc..)

EDIT: i think ppl who don't go to "school" just get their EXAM mark as their assessment mark. not sure though

Does "etc.. etc.." imply something else?
Exam mark isn't scaled per subject, is it?

etc... refers to the performance of the state and factors i do not know.
hmm..
If I get 88/100 on a particular exam, wouldn't I get 88 as my exam mark for that subject, regardless of what other people get?

no, that is your aligned Exam mark. your aligned HSC marks is an average of your aligned exam and assessment marks.

the exam mark is used to calculate your assessment mark i think.
