Compared to how most school's mark harshly, do hsc markers adopt that same mentality for marking, or is it vastly different? I'm asking this for subjects such as English, History (and maybe religion), which are mostly subjective.
HSC raw marks tend to be scaled anyway, so there should be no difference if a paper is marked particularly harshly.
My English school raw marks were basically the same as my HSC exam raw marks, so maybe it was marked the same? Papers in the HSC are marked twice, which tends to avoid one-off instances of harsh (or lenient) marking.
