I just asked a student and he said it's 18 hours per week in first year, which is very little if you ask me

18 contact hours plus however many 'reading' hours, I would say.

law and arts has heaps of reading to do. my cousins do it a club mac and have few contact hours but have heaps of reading to do at home though. they are pretty busy with it
