Hi, I'm a year 11 student doing the following subjects: English Advanced, English Ext 1, Maths Adv, Maths Ext 1, Health and movement science, Italian Continuers, Studies of religion 1, and physics.

In year 12, I'm planning on dropping physics and picking up maths ext 2. Both my English teachers have encouraged me to avoid English extension 2 as it would be too much work and apparently there's a massive gamble in terms of marking.

Therefore, my year 12 subjects would be:
- English Advanced
- English Extension 1
- Health and Movement Science
- Italian Continuers
- Maths Advanced (still have to do it even with ext 2 at my school)
- Maths Extension 1
- Maths Extension 2
- Studies of Religion 1

Is 12 units too much? I was planning on starting with 12 and then dropping to 10 units halfway through year 12. E.g. if ext 2 is good, I could drop Italian or smth, but if ext 2 is bad, I could drop ext 2.

Any help would be appreciated.

i do 12 units and its pretty chill (but probably only because they're pretty content light subjects)
it probably will just come down to how well u can manage your workload (italian seems like it might require a lot of investment), but i think 12 units is pretty cool in case u flop one of the hsc exams
