This is a very basic question but it has never been made clear (i.e drummed into out heads ) to us. I always need confirmation for things like these LOL.

How many episode of Frontline should we be using in the HSC question?

umm i probably focus on 2 episodes to talk about.. but then in relation to techniques and things i use quotes from the other episodes so i usually refer to them all in some way or another.. but yeh 2 or 3 in detail should be sufficient

Three texts in detail are preferable Sarah, although I only did two in my actual HSC.
You need to practice writing copiuos amounts of nothing in relation to three texts of Frontline. You do Ext Eng so it's not as hard as it seems.

EDIT:

Two is mediocre, it's only fullfilling the standard of the question. Most questions in Frontline will require you to compare and contrast and that means at least two anyway.

What about related texts? Would the exam question ask for at least 2 texts too?

I think so... Related texts woud be referred to as, "At least two texts of your own choosing" or "At least two related/supplementary" texts.
