Assuming Discrete Maths is full (I know they might be opening another stream soon but I may not enrol because that would ruin my timetable - that can't happen this term because I have medical appointments at specific times) and I take it in Semester 2 instead (meaning I'd push COMP2521 to 2nd year Sem 1 and COMP2511 to 2nd year Sem 2), how much trouble am I in for enrolling in level 3 COMP courses since COMP2521 (equiv to COMP1927) is a pre req for many of those courses?

I don't want to end up taking irrelevant courses (COMP or not) in 2nd year sem 1 because I couldn't complete COMP2521 in time.

I'm doing Computer Science and am following the course guide on the CSE site.

Would be nice if some 2+ year student gave advice instead of 100+ views and 0 replies.

Maybe you could think about taking MATH1081 in 18s1. Or by taking MATH1081 in 17s2 and delaying taking COMP1521 until the following year, as from what I can see COMP1521 isn't a prerequisite for many courses.
