How to answer the Q. E-mail VS "Snail"mail?? (1 Viewer)

Hopefully this is what you're after, the dot point regarding the advantages and disadvantages of traditional communication systems VS electronic mail.
I haven't seen a "traditional mailing system vs email" dot point, but I could be wrong
The syllabus only talks about teleconferencing, messaging systems and electronic commerce, but it doesn't really go into much detail when it comes to messaging systems.
ie Messaging Systems
Traditional systems
-> Telephone
-> Fax
Voice Mail
Electronic Mail (email)

Advantages of a traditional messaging system
* Convenient telephone, fast, express feelings more clearly using the spoken word.
Disadvantages of a traditional messaging system
* Receiver needs to be at the telephone to accept the message.
Advantages of Voice mail
* Convenient telephone, express feelings more clearly using the spoken word.
Disadvantages of Voice mail
* People need to check voice mail box regularly, insecurity of messages in the voice mail system.
Advantages of Electronic mail
* Communicates complex information, such as different
Disadvantages of Electronic mail
* Access to a computer system, junk email, people need to check data types, relatively cheaply, fast, person does not have to be present to receive the message, sending the same message to groups of people mail box regularly, security of ISP for storing messages.

yep, what huy said. and snail mail is a rhyming word and its actually a metaphor cos snails move slow and snails do too
