Hmmm..
Ok, I'm currently doing SOC234 - Methods of Social Research, and I've learnt some of quantitive research as well as i did a unit in my business college diploma called market research aswell.. so i think i'll do ok in it, its just that MKTG202 is offered in the 2nd half of the year and if i do it in summer school, it leaves me to do MKTG203 in 1st sem 2007 and then i can do 3rd level MKTG units in 2nd sem of 2007, thus speeding my course.... coz i'd rather not do MKTG203 in summer school coz that'd leave me to do MKTG202 in 2nd sem 2007 and leaving me to do another year at uni instead of finishing in sem1 of 08
i hope all that makes sense
Yup, makes sense.
So yeah, the main thing is to speak with the convener. You have to make sure a waiver's fine with them (a chat usually), and you go pick up a
form from SES. Make sure that's the newest version of the form - ie, it might be better to pick one up.
Anyway, you take that form to the convener of 202, and they sign it. You'll probably have to get the head of the department to sign it, too. Occasionally, they will ask you to get a previous convener/lecturer/tutor to sign it. Once it's all signed, show a person at SES to make sure it's complete - make sure they look at it. Then note who looked at it and when. SES love to screw people over.
Then the waiver is processed. Make sure it shows up on WebCT, no idea when that is supposed to happen, but don't let it become too late.
You're in a different situation because it's summer school, so make sure that everything's filled out properly and that you're generally doing the right thing. Before you do all of this, I would ring up SES and ensure that you've got the same process given it's summer school.
