The most easiest way is to plug in a usb device (pen drive) that is 2.0 part on your computer. When the device is plugged in xp will say that you are running a slower usb speed if the device you plugged in is 2.0. This means your pc has older usb ports (non high speed)p4e81 said:Anyone can tell me how to see if a USB port is Hi-Speed?

You might want to check your bios, it should say it there if your usb ports are 2.0 or not.
yes it came pre-loaded and i'm sure it does have 2.0 ports (and also 1.1) but have not idea which ones are 2.0 and which ones are 1.1dbevis said:Did that computer come with vista preloaded or did you upgrade your OS from a previous one? If that computer came with Vista its preaty safe to say that its new enough that it will have USB 2.0
If it's the DV2xxx series, it comes with three 2.0 portsp4e81 said:as for my computer model, i dont have it here at the moment but i think it is a hp pavilion DV2308TX (notebook)
