How to study for economics? (1 Viewer)

is it necessary to get ahead with economics? I feel like there isnt rlly anything to get ahead with.
i think the best i can do is listen n take notes in class, do hw and finish reading/highlighting each chapter (teacher gives new chapters of the year 11 economics 2022 textbook after finishing each one)

is there anything more to do?

Nah what you've said is plenty for year 11 economics. You can't get very ahead the way your teacher's doing it, but it shouldn't be necessary. Just make sure your notes are detailed enough that you don't need to go back and rewrite them, but summarised enough that you won't give up trying to read them later on.

The only thing I'd suggest is to try writing some practice responses and essays once you have the knowledge to be able to. After you've nailed the basics, you should also start to read some business/economics news and take note of important stats (although this is more crucial in year 12, it's good to get into the habit). Don't stress yourself out with all that yet, though, just familiarise yourself with the subject first.
