Are you wanting to know about internal or external marks? For internal marks, it really depends on your school. You'll have to ask a maths teacher at your school, because it varies i.e. at some selective schools as long as you get average, you get the benefit of scaling.

It depends how you are doing in your other subjects

internal marks don't matter.... only the rank and the aggregate is recorded.
