How would you do past papers throughout the year, especially in the beginning if you haven't learnt that much content yet? (2 Viewers)

If you are in the beginning of year 11, how would you do past papers because they are usually half yearly, yearly, etc, and at the beginning you wouldn't know all the content (unless you speedrun everything), so how would you practice and utilise past papers with this being kept in mind?

Honestly, there are so many papers out there to use, even if you don’t know the content just look for questions you can do. Don’t go through top school papers tho as they tend to make the best practice under timed conditions, however other schools just go through them. Also, when you do papers I highly recommend you make a mistake book, and at the end of the week try to redo all the questions without making errors (add even the smallest of mistakes), and day before ur exam just go through the book and make a list of all the mistakes u made (calculator, added wrong, etc) and read that list before ur exam.

go thru past papers and choose questions from topics you've done as armon said
just take it with a grain of salt because some questions will combine multiple topics so don't be too freaked out if you can't do a few of them
there are usually some pdf's floating around of exam questions by topic (smartermaths has these if your school pays for it, highly recommend)
ill see if i can find some that i used (not the smartermaths tho they are copyrighted)

Alright, thanks, though where can I find past papers that aren't from top schools? Because I have all the past papers from thsc which are just top schools, so could you please provide me with the kind of past papers you are talking about or let me know where to find them?

well realistically you're not going to do all THSC papers, so just save the good ones (ruse, nsb, sbhs, knox, etc etc) and pick the schools that are good but like yknow not the best ones (killara, fort st, etc)

Alright, thanks, I'm going to go into year 11 this year, though during this holidays I was thinking of completing some thsc math yearly past papers, how many would you recommend me complete for practice and consolidating my skills?

you can check out this google drive folder here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1_BbuZJOPRFhK_WC8vEXL5-RwEmtrv5ye
I also have access to multiple textbooks if u want them lmk.
I recommend checking out studocu as well since you might find some papers floating around. Just be careful with the marking guidelines since some might be incorrect.
