Juz wondering wat social life is like in Canberra. i hear its pretty boring there, but i dunno anyone that goes to uni there

thinkin of goin ANU so yeh... its good to know everyfing b4 ya consider it cuz it is a big move

Hey - I am from the ACT (Well am from NSW, but living in ACT)


ACT social life is 'ok' - I think if you lived on campus you would be fine with the whole social life. If you lived away from campus, it would be hard to make friends etc as Canberra isn't that "exciting".

Oh- I am NOT at ANU, I am from UC - "the better one of the two" HAHAAHHAHAH One thing you will get in Canberra is the constant comparison of the 2 unis - its abit like comparing UNSW and USYD - no one ever wins a debate!

Oh - the reason you find no one on these boards is 'cause there is only about 4000 kids that do College (Equilivant to NSW YR 12), and of those only about 2500 do the AST which gives them a UAI - so not many!

I've heard the social life at ANU is not bad, especially for those living in the colleges. I've heard they party pretty hard.

my ex-tutor whom i had for english had told me social life at ANU is good and she loved the experience

however life is good depending on what you like to do, for example she said for people that like arts its just perfect there are many art galary down there and many art exhibitions
