I am a little bit confuzzled with the HSC in general when it comes to ATAR scoring and jazz.

1. I heard a rumor about that you can get extra points for your ATAR (like extra ATAR points for remote students) if you are a House/School Captain, is this true?
2. Since the best 10 Units count for your ATAR, if you are doing 11 Units and your 1 unit subject is better than your 2 unit subject, do they count the 1-unit subject or the 2-units? E.G My Extension Japanese mark for the HSC and in general is better than my SORII mark.

1. Bonus points are awarded at specific universities, although each university basically has its own system. Eg. If you live in Western Sydney and are applying for UWS you may be awarded 5 bonus points.
2. 2-unit subjects can be split, so that only one of the units counts towards your top 10. However the best 2 units of English always counts towards these 10.

So the remaining 8 units that count, if you do one Ext. subject it splits in half with a 2U subject?

Pretty much. Like lets say your doing 11 units and your worst subject is physics, then only one unit of physics will count.
