What a good idea.

Perhaps people with a blog and sound system could start one.

I can't - I read far too quickly to be of any use to you.

Trying to work on it though.

You can have a look at http://librivox.org to see what I've done.

Only some Aesop's Fables at this point, but who's to say fables don't point to the truth.

Here is the first VCE podcast ever:

http://feeds.feedburner.com/VcePodcastForAllSubjectsAndStudents

and http://vcepodcastforall.blogspot.com/

Who wants to be a team member and put his/her notes, lecturers and general learning for all to see?

You will need a Blogger account and a Feedburner.

I don't want any identifying information for now! But maybe something about your name, school and subject would be useful to us all down the track, and whether it's for a SAC or an exam or a test.

We want all VCE students to contribute.

Everything will be moderated by me and the team to see whether it's appropriate.

You may see some official Bored of Studies podcasts appearing in the very near future. :)

It is better if you have an auditory learning style.

Hearing, reading, writing and doing are best for me.

im not saying podcasts are better than teachers, its just that i like listening to audiobooks and stuff and i learn well that way. podcasts are usually pretty casual and you can listen to them anywhere. its just another way of getting the stuff into ur brain.

oh, and i found a good biology one on the itunes website. its by "douchy" and he explains the stuff well.

i find that if i listen to dicussions and other stuff in class then i generally do better. For example in Modern History i am fairly proactive in discussions but in Religion... i generally fall asleep.

My friend does Physics and he records his notes and plays them on his ipod on the way to school etc.

however, listening to your notes while your asleep can lead to detoriation in mental fitness during the day if you're a generally anxious or unhealthy person (comparatively).

these people require all the rest they can at night so cannot afford this luxury. BUT its perfectly fine to listen away to any hsc podcasts (blergh ugly word it comes from the ipod mania) when you're on the bus, spare time whatever.
