i've got this info from my teacher, dont know what's really in the exams
or what the questions gonna be, but im sure its all essays and long answer questions.. and some teachers would probably change the questions so the students would understand it better etc

Section 1- personalities in their times
Caesar * extended responses

Section 2- Ancient Society
Sparta *extended responses
Study ( economy and society in general )

Section 3- Historical Period
Rome 78-28 BC < a, b
or
Augustus < a, b

Section 4- Additional period
Rome 78-28 BC < a, b
or
Augustus < a, b

note:
* extended responses...
* its likely its gonna be the catholic papers or whatever its called..
* questions can be changed, every schools does that...
* section 3 and 4, i think if you decide to chose
example: Section 3- Rome 78-28 BC you can NOT do the same
period in Section 4 (Rome 78-28 BC), you have to do the Augustus question, whatever the question's gonna be..
* use quotes from ancient rome historians for your arguement etc etc..
* goodluck for the Ancient History exams...

I thought everyone would have known the layout by now?

In any case, Section 4 is your Additional Period or Society, which you put in the questions, but not in the heading.

It's pretty straight forward, really; you just chose the best 3 questions from Sections 2-4 that will wholistically get you a better mark, without doubling up on your topics.

If you are doing Hatshepsut i would study the role of Senmut and her other officials
and greek world it may be a good idea to study Cimon ( i forget to, sigh) and the
Great Peloponnesian War.
All the q's are really hard
good luck, if anyone hasnt done it ( i am assuming majority of people have completed the test by now)

Heya, put it this way: You're lucky to have realised you forgot something in the trials. Imagine if you forgot it in the HSC exam!
