Hi Guys,

For legal I need to 'critically evaluate' the statement "human rights continue to be violated around the world despite the international instruments put in place to protect them'

Any thoughts/ ideas would be greatly appreciated!

knowledge of domestic + international law and references to 'institutionalized inequality' aswell as relevant case studies from Aus and around the globe are to be included.

Thanks alot.

perhaps...Now I know this sounds hard, but perhaps, do some research? I mean, how hard is it? Human rights are broken everyday, regardless of the hundreds of UN protocols and declarations.

I would firstly introduce with a basic definition of what a human right is. Then, I would describe how they are protected in domestic law (common law, statute law, and the consitution, giving specific examples), and contrast that to how they are protected under international law, through the UN etc. giving specific examples of HOW they are protected, using as many examples as you can
