Most textbooks only refer to the process using water (there's another using H2), so I assume we use that? What is it even called? just a hydration reaction?

Ok...is hydrogenation part of the syllabus? Would it be a synthesis or a hydrogenation equation?

Could come under the addition polymerisation dot point, so it's best to learn imo.
