Yeah so basically at the end of Year 11 I was really conflicted on my subjects, especially with Earth and Environmental Science which I was doing well in because I thought it would be detrimental in terms of ATAR contribution due to its alleged horrid scaling. Thus, I decided to pick up 4u math as a probably less capable student then my peers.

Basically I have been reflecting and thinking that I shouldn't of picked up 4u and just stayed with my subjects that I did have and do really well in them, although this the the thing, I screwed up Math Adv so bad. In year 11 I got all 90+s but somehow this term I wasn't really in the right mindset and got a 59% ( I know I was depressed for weeks after) which has put be behind so many people in adv who I know I am better at math in in terms of ranks. It also doesn't help that on the day of the test I was sick and shouldn't of even done it.

Anyway, for 4u I beat my Math Adv score and got a 73%, ranking 3/5 in my class coming behind one accelerated kid who will most definitely E4 and another person who studies a ton. The thing is I do like 4u, but I feel I may not be good enough when we get really hard questions. I also sometimes do get bored of math after a while and just can't be bothered to study any more math.

SO basically what Im asking, is do you think I should drop Earth which I reckon I would probably band 6, and focus on 4u which I probably couldn't E4 but would likely E3, or should i drop 4u, have a crap rank in math adv and focus on a band 6 in Earth and other subjects.

The thing about Earth as-well, is that it honestly isn't that easy lol, Its so much content for a pretty shitty scaler subject but idk.

Also, what mark would I be looking at in 4u to achieve the equivalent of a high band 6 in adv?

Do you mean what raw mark in 4u gives a high 90s scaled mark? Depends on the difficulty of the exam but probably very high 60s at least, if its easier then high 70s or low 80s?

stop worrying abt your adv maths stuff. bc you are in 4u it wont count so you might as well just wing 2u and focus on 4u content honestly, surely you don't need to drop either bc dropping either one would be bad for you
