But I'm too lazy to troll through thread after thread.

How does one achieve a UAI of 85+? Or even in the 90s?
UAI is a rank, or is it a mark?
None of this has been explained to meh :(

My lowest mark has been 75% for an assessment task, but everything else has been between 85%-95%, and we're coming up to exams. If I consistantly get these sort of marks, and do well in my exams would I be heading for a decent UAI?

its a rank.
just get good assessment positions and it should b ok
it doesnt matter wat marks u get in ur assignments (eg if u come 1st n hav 89 as ur mark, it doesn matter, gettin 90 wouldnt hav changed anythin) just hav good assess positions, and then do well in ur exam. it is based on exam results, and the assessment positions

To reiterate:

The moderating process takes into account students' rankings and the gaps in marks between each of the students. The raw marks themselves do not actually have any explicit effect on your final HSC mark, as this would be unfair to students who have had to complete difficult assessments.

Yes, the UAI is a rank, so what actual marks you get don't really relate to your UAI - ie., if you get all 75's, your UAI won't be 75 or anything.

Generally, if you consistently get good marks, you will get a good UAI. It depends on how good your school is though, and how hard they mark. Very high marks at a school which marks very easily would end up the same as average marks at a school which marks a lot harder. The important thing is your ranking within the school, and then how well the school does as a whole.

In any case, just work the best you can and you'll be set. The system is generally fair and will take care of itself.
