I need help with solutions to trig equations!!!!!!!! (1 Viewer)

I have been doing some trig questions and I have difficulty finding the negative angles in questions where the range is -180 < x < 180.

If you know what I mean.

for example when

tanx = 2 or tanx = 1/2 -180 < x < 180

x = -2.678, -2.034, 0.464, 1.107

I DON"T GET HOW YOU WORK OUT THE NEGATIVE ANSWERS?
Can someone pls explain it to me.

So in this case, one solution is ~1.1071, so another is 1.1071 - pi = -2.034
