You can use the childrens picture book "where the wild things are" (WTWTA) the little boy in the book creates an imaginary world around him in which he tames and controls the 'wild things'.
This can then be linked back to the situation in which Prospero was placed. Prospero is dumped on the imaginary island with his daughter Miranda and his art (magic) allows him to have the spirits like Ariel under his control, Just like the little boy.
At the end of WTWTA the boy returns to his room realising he had to pay the price for his naughtyness and in The Tempest, Prospero forgive those who wronged him and trys to move on with his life.
