I'll have a go at explaining it;

You add Cl- until the solution no longer precipitates any PbCl2, NOT until the precipitate redissolves (you'll be waiting a while). The precipitate is all the Pb in the solution. Filter it off so that you have a nice clear solution again. Add sulfate ions. CaSO4 and BaSO4 are both insoluble white solids (except under acidic conditions). Filter off any precipitate. Perform flame test on solid to determine Ca, Ba or both. The filtrate is then treated with hydroxide to test for Cu(II), Fe(II) & Fe(III).

Oh, and at each split in the tree there is a filtration. The filtrate is the solution and the residue is the collected solid.
