Can someone please define 'ideological context'. Does it mean the ideas that were around during the time a text was made?

Basically, yes.

encompasses social mores, critical schools that were emerging etc. note tho, marker's guidelines always say that you should at least mention briefly the differences in the context between the responder and the composer over time - therefore the ideological contexts have been changing, and interpretations have been changing
