so how about older imo solutions?
imo compendium 1959-2009 available as ebook. website: https://imomath.com ebook: https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-1-4419-9854-5 not free though €71.68
then the shortlists with solutions available for free 2006-2022 at https://www.imo-official.org/problems.aspx and the 2023 shortlist with solutions will be there in a few days (after the conclusion of 2024 imo which is officially July 22 UK time). Nevertheless Evan Chen has 2023 solutions at https://web.evanchen.cc/exams/IMO-2023-notes.pdf

lots of 7s there especially for AUS3 so expect at least 1 medal

going through all 9 pages there are a lot of 0s for P3 and P6 - negatively impacting on medal cutoffs
ones to watch: 2 potential perfect scorers from china - CHN4 and CHN5, especially CHN4 who already got 7 for both P3 and P6!
but in all 9 pages there are only 2 with 35 so far - which means there can only be at most 2 perfect scorers.

Turns out there was 1 perfect scorer from China, Haojia Shi who incidentally did the same thing last year

But USA beat China on points with 192 and hence USA is ranked 1 out of 108 countries, and China ranked 2
Also medal cutoffs are bronze≥16, silver≥22, gold≥29

honourable mention (HM) means a 7 in any question
i have met maths teachers who said they can't do any imo questions.
so a 7 in any question is a good achievement, especially for a year 10 student - even if they don't get a medal.
as you can see Amber Li, a year 10 student from Pymble Ladies College is one such contestant.
