From the Munich Beer Hall incident in....1922 i believe, the nazis concentrated on rebuilding. They concentrated on providing support for the rural areas, which provided them with a huge boost in support following a rural depression in....1926 (i think). From 1929 to 1933 was when they made a real impact through the depression and the inability of the Weimar government. By 1932 they, in conjunction with the communists held over 50% of the reichstag. They had become the largest party in Germany. They attacked the gov, attacked the jews and attacked the "november criminals," all of which he blamed for Germany's ills. The nazi party gave young hoolagons someone to hate, on somewhere to release that hate through the form of the SA and the SS. By 1933, they had installed such terror amongst the gov that they had made him chancellor in the hope of "containing him". That failed miserably as we all know.
