For this question, you know how you usually multply both sides by (X-2)2, why can't you multiply it by (X-2)3 or (X-2)4 etc?

Becuase it is sufficient enough to multiply by (x-2)2 to find the solutions. If you multiply by (x-2)3, there is a chance you could be multiplying by a negative number. Multiplying by (x-2)4 just makes it more complicated.
