Hey guys, I was having some trouble finding information/notes on the syllabus DP:
  • Investigate the response of a named Australian plant to a named pathogen through practical and/or secondary-sourced investigation, for example:
    • Fungal pathogens
    • Viral pathogens
I was wondering if someone could help me with this and possibly provide notes on this syllabus DP. Thankyou

The fungus austropacinnia psidii is a fungus that causes myrtle rust in eucalyptus plants if this helps. It spreads by air or water, most of the time air. this causes spots on leaves and may cause the leaf to undergo heavy defoliation as well as the delayed response of secreting salicylic acid
Thankyou so much, btw what does the plant do to protect itself from the fungus?
